Green Life Media and Green Bee Life were buzzing around last week! We had a great time at the Tech This media mixer, which enjoyed a fantastic turn out! While supporting a great cause and networking, professionals among the technology and media community had a rare chance to let loose and enjoy great food, live musical entertainment, an open bar, a photo wall and even a swag bag! Held at the Sayer’s Club in Hollywood, Los Angeles, it was an opportunity for professionals to meet and discuss ideas, trends, foster relationships and promote awareness of their businesses (or just dance and have fun!), all while helping the mentorship program at Step Up.
It was a solid success, hosted by Phoenix Gonzalez, co-founder of dotstudioPRO, Green Life Media’s own tech partner and provider of our OTT technology platform. Green Bee Life was one of the evening event’s sponsors. Along with dotstudioPRO, Teleos Media, Media Farm, The Content Farm and Source Digital, the companies working to raise money for Step Up in support of mentorship did a stellar job with this fundraiser.
Step Up Women’s Network is a nonprofit organization that helps teen girls from under-resourced communities find the resources to fulfill their potential, and go on to become career focused, professional women. Step Up’s goal is to reach 12,000 girls by the year 2020. The girls are urban high school students between the ages of 13-18. There are after school programs that help girls explore their own identities, foster self-awareness and growth but also connect with girls within their schools. Shouldn’t this be in every school? It’s a wonderful idea that is helping countless women uplift each other.
Green Bee Life’s tech partner dotstudioPRO, the company behind the Tech This event, has created a technology that allows creators to distribute and self manage their content and connect with their audiences by syndicating to publishers who want content for their audience. With the idea that breaking down distribution barriers helps one maximize reach and potential for growth.
It was a memorable and fun filled night where technology, media and charity crossed paths!
